Kay Bojesen Silver Tea Caddy

Beautiful and rare 1950´ sterling silver tea caddy by Kay Bojesen (1886-1958) and made in Copenhagen. Kay Bojesen was one of the first silversmiths who produced the beautiful Art Nouveau works set with amber and precious stones. Later, he too adopted a somewhat more functionalist expression with simple, undecorated surfaces and a focus on beautiful shapes. The tea caddy from the functionalistic time is a splendid example of this style.

The caddy has 2 separate rooms for tea.
